Hi everyone,
I just wanted to invite you all over this Saturday evening for a relaxed summer dinner.
I’ve noticed how busy life has been for each of us lately, so let’s catch up with some colorful food and maybe a little advice-sharing too.
I’ll be making a watermelon and guava salad, with some fennel and julienne cucumber, and I plan to fold in slices of jackfruit and gooseberry for a fresh twist.
For drinks, I thought it would be fun to infuse water with chrysanthemum and peony petals, and serve them in those goblets I bought last year.
For dessert, I’m thinking of a cake with a drizzle of passion fruit and a garnish of mint.
I’ll set the table with the nice linen napkins, so it’ll feel a bit special.
And if anyone wants to bring something, even just fancy gift wrapping for a bottle of juice, that’s totally welcome.
I know several of us have been talking about savings and investment lately.
With all the news about rising overhead and rent, and the stress some have over possible eviction, it makes sense to think more about financial health.
Maybe we can chat about things like using CPF for a down payment, or whether a fixed deposit or a bond is better these days.
I’ve read a little about compound interest and how diversification helps, but I’d love to hear your thoughts—especially from those who just joined that funding round last month.
If anyone’s gotten a new housing benefit from work, that’s another topic we could cover.
Anyway, I hope you can come.
Let me know by Friday if you’re joining, so I can prepare enough food.
Looking forward to a nice evening together!
Best,
Taylor
