I just wanted to invite you all over this Saturday evening for a relaxed summer dinner. I’ve noticed how busy life has been for each of us lately, so let’s catch up with some colorful food and maybe a little advice-sharing too. I’ll be making a watermelon and guava salad, with some fennel and julienne cucumber, and I plan to fold in slices of jackfruit and gooseberry for a fresh twist. For drinks, I thought it would be fun to infuse water with chrysanthemum and peony petals, and serve them in those goblets I bought last year. For dessert, I’m thinking of a cake with a drizzle of passion fruit and a garnish of mint. I’ll set the table with the nice linen napkins, so it’ll feel a bit special. And if anyone wants to bring something, even just fancy gift wrapping for a bottle of juice, that’s totally welcome.
