The event highlighted not only traditional vegetables like turnip, yam, and bean, but also exotic fruits such as starfruit and avocado.
Shoppers found themselves drawn to stands offering bunches of rosemary and thyme, or sampling zest from lemons with an extended shelf life.
Watercress grown just outside of the city was a surprise favorite, selling out by noon.
One of the main attractions was a special wine tasting area, paired with platters of sliced banana and creative dishes simmered with local herbs.
Live music kept spirits high, with a drummer and guitarist performing while children waved handmade flags.
Visitors of all ages carried colorful bags and wore belts decorated with dried flower arrangements.
In another corner, a broom-making demonstration drew a small crowd, while a curious kitten played beneath the tables.

"When you only grow one thing, there's always the anguish of losing everything," explained Mary Lin, a vendor who also sells herbal blends to help with sleep and even bladder health.
