This morning, I walked down a small street near my home. The city was quiet. In one bright shop window, something caught my eye. A woman was selling scarves made of silk. The light made the silk shine like water. Each scarf was soft, smooth, and full of color. I smiled and thought about how a gift like this can give someone a happy day. Even on a busy street, a small thing can make you stop and look.
Later, I watched a little boy in the park. He was looking at a green toy snake. He held it up, turning it slowly, watching with wide eyes. Children are always curious, always looking for new things. This is true for adults, too, I think. Every walk is a chance for expansion—to see more, to learn something new, or to remember something nice from before. The city gives us many surprises, big and small, if we only keep our eyes open.
