The alarm blared, pulling Leo from a dream about a pet-friendly apartment. He generally loved his job, however, today’s meeting about the new project felt daunting. He needed to prepare a presentation, and his laptop was broken. “I don’t understand,” he muttered, checking the screen again. “What do you mean, ‘no signal’?” In other words, he couldn’t work remotely.
He grabbed his resume, just in case. Unfortunately, his colleague, Maria, was already in the conference room. “Good morning,” she said, “the manager wants to discuss your proposal.” Leo gulped. Luckily, Maria offered to help. “I tidied up the report last night,” she said. “Furthermore, I have the Wi-Fi password if you need it.”
“Actually, that’s great!” Leo said. He managed to fix his laptop just before their boss arrived. The meeting went well, and he even got feedback on a potential raise. In conclusion, it was a productive day, despite the morning scare.
