Last Saturday, I was waiting outside the corner shop when a street cat surprised me. It seemed to pounce out of nowhere, aiming for something small near my feet. My heart jumped inside my chest, and the shop owner laughed when he saw me. He said, "That cat always does this! It's her habit."
I noticed the cat sitting proudly after her jump, as if she owned the place. Behind her, old gas cans stood by the wall, their paint fading. A few people were waiting, too, some checking their phones, probably sending a DM to friends. Life didn't stop—everyone just accepted the sudden action of the cat. City life is always full of quick surprises, but they fit into our daily routine. Sometimes, a pounce from a cat reminds us to keep our eyes open. Point taken, I watch the street more closely now.
