During times of stress, communities come together, and that's what the UAE and Abu Dhabi have built. I think many of my colleagues will attest to that, because they've all been here in the last 12 months or so. We have a community that came together and is resilient.
At the end of the day, when I think about the next steps and what the future could look like—not just for the rest of this year, but for the next couple of years—the one thing you see as a common theme, talking to every CEO, chairman, minister, and leader in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, is that everybody is looking for opportunity. We're looking past all the things that brought us down and focusing on ways to do what we do best.
When I think back to the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) and COVID, in both instances, we bounced back stronger. It was a v-shaped recovery. In fact, we had two of our best years immediately after the GFC and immediately after COVID. I'm speaking as Mubadala here, and I have every reason to believe that over the next couple of years we're going to see something very similar.
