Many people think that driving is only for young people. But what if you are an old person who wants to learn? Some of my readers ask me if it is too late to attempt driving lessons when you are over sixty. They worry they will not be as quick as young drivers, or that people will look at them in a strange way. These are frequent worries, but they are very normal.
If you are an older person who wants to start driving, do not be afraid to try. Many people start learning later in life. The first step is to find a driving school that is friendly and patient. Tell your teacher that you are new to driving and want to learn slowly. Some people like to take notes on a canvas notebook to remember the rules. Practice as much as you can and do not compare yourself to others.
Remember, it is never too late to attempt something new. Driving can give you freedom, no matter your age. Listen to your body, rest when you feel tired, and keep trying. Many old people drive every day. Be proud of your attempt and drive safely.
