This morning, I stood among a small group of people at the bus stop. The rain came down hard, and everyone tried to stay dry under the small roof. Some people pushed against the wall to get away from the wind. We did not talk much, but we all waited together.
In moments like this, I see how city life can give us small chances to connect. We are busy, but when the rain is heavy, we get close, just for a short time. No one wants to be wet, and we all hope the bus will come soon. It can be easy to feel alone in a big city, but sometimes, when we are stuck among strangers, we remember we are not so different after all.
